Tested in rigorous off-road locations like the Imperial Dunes (Glamis) in California and Dubai, the Honda Passport's advanced i-VTM4™ all-wheel-drive system sets it apart from other crossovers. This system, standard on all Passport models, optimizes control and traction by distributing up to 70% of engine torque to the rear wheels and dynamically dividing it between the wheels depending on the conditions. In challenging off-road scenarios, such as mud or deep sand, the i-VTM4™ system continuously routes torque to the wheel with the most grip, even if one rear wheel is airborne, ensuring steady traction and forward momentum.

The Passport has a standard four-mode Intelligent Traction Management system that enables drivers to tailor the i-VTM4™ system's response for various terrains such as sand, snow, mud, and pavement.
