Interior Comparison

The 2025 Odyssey and the 2025 Sienna are three-row, eight-seat minivans with over 160 cubic feet of interior space. Hence, they can easily carry adults in their second and third rows. The 2025 Sienna even offers a premium captain’s chair layout for some trims, but this reduces the seating capacity to seven. Meanwhile, Honda counters with its Magic Slide second-row seats in the 2025 Odyssey. This comprises three individual seats that can be slid fore-and-aft on their own. Plus, you can remove each seat to create varying seating configurations. Hence, the 2025 Odyssey is more adaptable to changing passenger and cargo requirements.

This also means that the 2025 Odyssey is better for cargo-carrying duties. With all seats in place, it has 33 cubic feet of cargo space, which is similar to the 2024 Sienna. Then, you can deploy its 60-40 split-folding One-Motion third-row seat to create more cargo capacity. If that's not enough, you can remove all three second-row seats too. You can't do this with the 2025 Sienna.

Furthermore, every 2025 Odyssey includes a secure, lockable glove box. All trims also get cup holders for all three rows, as well as map lights. Then, there’s a rear storage well. Ambient console lighting and upper front seat back storage pockets are available, too.

Active noise cancelation is standard for the 2025 Odyssey range, as are active control engine mounts. This results in an impressively quiet and vibration-free ride for all occupants. Plus, power-adjustable front seats with heating are included for all trims, as is tri-zone automatic climate control. The 2025 Sienna isn’t as well-endowed with standard features.

Honda offers its CabinWatch® system so that the driver can visually keep tabs on third-row occupants. If needed, they can engage in two-way communication via the available CabinTalk® system. These two systems are most useful if you have small children regularly traveling in the third row. The 2025 Sienna only includes a rear occupant alert to tell you if someone is in the rearmost seats. The 2025 Odyssey includes this feature, too.

The 2025 Odyssey and the 2025 Sienna have Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™. Both minivans also get digital gauge clusters and offer wireless phone chargers. Moreover, the Odyssey now sees an upgraded rear entertainment system with dual 12.8-inch screens for 2025. Buyers can also specify a 550-watt sound system with multi-zone audio.

Performance Comparison

The 2025 Honda Odyssey uses a powerful 280-horsepower naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 with 262 lb-ft of torque. The engine powers the front wheels through a 10-speed automatic gearbox. The driver gets steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters for all trims. Front-wheel drive is standard. Then, there's an intelligent traction management system and a snow mode. The engine also features idle stop-start, and Honda's Eco Assist system for better fuel economy. A remote engine starter is also available.

Toyota only offers the 2025 Sienna as a hybrid. It uses a 2.5-liter naturally aspirated four-cylinder engine, two electric motors, and a CVT gearbox. The system is front-wheel drive and makes up to 245 horsepower. All-wheel drive is optional.

Safety Features Comparison

Every 2025 Odyssey comes with the Honda Sensing® suite as standard equipment. Therefore, buyers get a road departure mitigation system, blind spot monitoring, and a cross-traffic monitor. Automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, and adaptive cruise control are also included.

Every 2025 Odyssey also gets a driver attention monitor and a traffic sign recognition system. Front and rear parking sensors are available. The 2025 Sienna has similar features, but some are options.
